Coordinates and supervises the operation of a program component within a division of the Center. Overseas delivery of care and activities of the nursing staff; provides ongoing professional staff development and evaluation; facilitates effective interdepartmental communication, documentation of reports and charts; and ensures overall quality of care. Participates in Quality Improvement activities. Work performed will primarily involve supervision of staff and resource development and limited involvement.
Minimum of Baccalaureate degree from an NLN approved program within six months of hire. Two years of pediatric nursing experience on inpatient psychiatric unit required and one year of supervisory expereince preferred. Current, unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Florida. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, families, employees and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to multi-task, display decision making and critical thinking skills and basic computer skills.
