Foundation Mission & History
The Gracepoint Foundation was formally established in 2002 as the Mental Health Care Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As the fundraising charity for Mental Health Care Inc., we changed our name to the Gracepoint Foundation when MHC became Gracepoint in 2013.
The Foundation's mission remains constant--educate, advocate for and give hope to all people touched by behavioral health and developmental challenges.
The Foundation is governed by the Board of Trustees.
Since its beginning in 2002, the Gracepoint Foundation has focused on developing a solid base of support. The Foundation solicits and receives gifts from the Gracepoint's operating and foundation boards, medical staff, employees, vendors, corporations, foundations, and private donors.
The Gracepoint Foundation is also a partner in the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. We are fortunate our permanent endowment is sheltered there.
For those who deeply believe in our mission, our Founders Society offers donors an easy yearly option to make an significant gift. Founders Society gifts support capital renovations, programs and grant capacity. We are developing new and exciting opportunities for donors to introduce thier friends to the vital work of our physicians and therapeutic staff. You may wish to meet some of our clients and hear their real life stories.
