Bruce Springsteen reveals his battle with depression
Singer Bruce Springsteen has fought a long battle with depression, the musician says in this video from ABC News.
Springsteen, 62, said he has been in therapy since 1982 when depression made him suicidal just as he was on the verge of superstardom. The magazine said the Grammy Award-winning recording star's father suffered from depression, was possibly bipolar and frequently refused to take his medications.
The rock and roll icon says his marathon stage shows are his form of self-medication--helping him cope with depression.
