Welcome to Adult Emergency Services. We are so grateful that you have chosen us as your first step to voluntary substance abuse services.
While we do provide assessments and screening to determine the best level of care for your needs, please keep in mind that we are not a substitute for an emergency room.
If you believe that you will be experiencing significant withdrawals within the next hour or so, please let us know so that we can assist you in obtaining emergency services.
This is a medically supervised, inpatient, short-term, acute care detoxification and stabilization program provided by ACTS, a community partner. This program serves adults, with significant substance impairment or co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Services include physical assessment, HIV/AIDS risk and substance abuse assessments, medical examination, diagnostic services, counseling, AA meetings, and referral to individuals throughout the SunCoast Region. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Click here for more information.
If all detox beds* are occupied and there is a substantial wait for services, you may choose to leave your name and phone number so we can contact you when a bed becomes available or we can provide you with information on outpatient detox services. If you would like to pursue either option, please speak to the administrative assistant or ask for a supervisor to assist you.
